The Husky Hangout is a temporary multi-use structure behind the UConn Dairy Bar that will be used for outdoor education, recreation, and relaxation. Reclaimed materials will be utilized to create a sustainable and immersive space that will benefit the UConn community and the greater public through social and educational engagement. Supported by funds from the UConn Change Grant, an award given to UConn students that present a project that shows a commitment to public engagement, innovative entrepreneurship, social impact, and active mentorship, Liz used her funds to create a space filled with innovative seating and outdoor play. Hope you enjoy this space!

The Husky Hangout and Growing Green will be temporary and have a designated take down date on October 8th so be sure to get your ice cream and plant fun in now! If you'd like to learn more about the plants you see, please refer to the 'Plant Information' page on this website.
